Hello and welcome to another edition of RedTeam News, with your host, Geoffrey Gore.
Construction of a new and improved server for playing Minecraft will be beginning around December. I would be beginning sooner, but I neither have the money nor the ability, since the server's construction will actually serve as my senior project, which I'm not allowed to begin until December.
Also, Grifreaper09 is building a server as well. What his exact plans with it are unclear as of now, however I have suspicion that it will go towards RedTeam. (Grif, elaborate in a comment as you see fit.)
Finally, in the server improvements area, I plan to upgrade my internet package from a personal (home) plan to a full business plan. I haven't looked into the details, but I have heard something along the lines of 90mbit/s up, which is major, considering the current plan maxes out at 28mbit/s
Leaving the server upgrade business behind, there have been reports of increased lag recently going throughout the server. This lag has been majorly affecting gameplay recently, and is annoying a lot of players. Word has it that this may be a result of large files entering and exiting the RedTeam Staff's FileShare. A rarity that I hope to clear up soon. Please also notice that this will hopefully become a non-issue as upgrades come in to play starting January.
Broadsword6 would like me to remind everyone to please ask him before the use of any land outside your own plot, unless otherwise told to do so. The same applies for NewKanto, except that building permissions lie within the hands of Grifreaper09. As far as the Nether goes, that area is pretty much free-build.
